We got to spend a lovely afternoon with LOTS of yummy nibbly foods, a few too many glasses of wine, and having a laugh with old friends and a couple of new ones.
It was also great to meet a couple of our fellow forumites today as well!
But most importantly, Felicia was christened and given her official title "Bussingham Palace" - complete with generous sprays of bubbly across her windscreen.
I will post more photos later - but for now, there are 2. The first is my mother and her travel buddy Sandra christening Felicia - the second, in their true style, is them quickly realising that there was still champagne left in the bottom of the bottle, and going to great pains to ensure that it didn't go to waste.
What an occasion! A very official occasion. She looks very grand, and so does your mum and her friend. I'm interested in the writing on the windscreen. I've been looking for some thing like that with my own personal trade mark, but I'm not sure what printers to it. Any clues please?

We found a lady locally who does the stickers, and were very happy with the result.
I've found that a lot of larger Sunday markets often have somebody who can do custom vinyl decals - prices vary wildly though.
The website for the lady who did ours is http://www.2eezy.com/ - we were very happy with her prices and the end result.

Looks like the same lady from Qld who did my Nanna with Attitude sticker. I found her on Ebay. Love the name, very apt. Did you realise the numberplate RQL Royal Queensland.

Mum's name is Laura, so in keeping with the royal theme, the number plate stands for Royal Queen Laura.
The 911 is obviously a reference to the emergency telephone number, which they will need to be reminded of frequently when falling out of bed after too much wine

Dave, Isn't the emergency number for Aus 000. Would hate you to get it wrong, and the ring the wrong number after falling out of bed.

Chris, most sighn righters can do these stick on sighns for you. Just pick your colour, print type & size you need & a computer does the rest. I've had one done for the van & its not expensive.

I just went to a sign-writer for mine. [Dragon Wagon.]
Glad the Christening went off with a bang Dave. Marj. is right though, 911 is for Yankee-land.
Mum and her friend look as though they're enjoying life. You'd better look out. You might not get to use "Bussingham Palace" much.
Cheers,
Sheba.

It was great to have you there guys. Maybe you both need to have a party to christen your new baby when she's finally ready!?
I see you've uploaded a new avatar - looks awesome. We might need to talk about you doing a commission piece when you have some spare time haha.

Hahaha, you may be right.

Thanks for the tips everyone. I've asked a few at markets but they only do individual letters for an stupid cost. I'll check out those you've recommended.

Het Dave I wish I could have been there = a bit of a trek from WA. Looks like a great christening and I'm so glad your mum and her mate Sandra salvaged the champers as it would have been a frightful waste

Hi Everyone,
I had to tell you Dave is just as charming as his pro's sounds, and his Mum Laura is very funny and easy going, as she must be for this story to have such a happy ending,
Although, there is more to the scenario as Laura has yet to drive Felicia.
We were just lucky that we lived 40 min away!
Cheers Sharon

More piccies from the day!
I have been terribly negligent, and haven't gotten around to taking photos of inside yet! I'll try and get around to it shortly.
These photos are courtesy of Sharon and Douglas (shazartist). There are a couple of shots that include these very lovely forumites.
