Has anyone travelled Eyre Peninsula, Yorke Peninsula and Fleurieu Peninsula? Are they worth the look at? Or has anyone got a favourite.. As im currently in Wa and heading back east in December and thinking wether to look at these spots..

we did the Yorke 3 years ago and can't wait to get back there - stayed at Stansbury - had a water front site - beautiful -(cleanest ablutions ever seen) and also stayed at Pt Broughton - another great spot - fishing was great at both places - want to spend a month there next time.

Just spent 10 days at Port Hughes right on the beach,near pier and pub Excellent views and if the weather is not to windy majic spot. You cannot go wrong by stopping at any of the places along the peninsula's Ken

The Eyre Peninsula is well worth a visit. We have visited it several times. Favourite spots are Streaky Bay, Coffin Bay and Port Lincoln. The coastal scenery down the western side is quite spectacular; we are not so impressed with the eastern side. The National Parks at Coffin Bay and Port Lincoln are great. The Whalers' Way drive is a must, out of Port Lincoln, even though it costs to drive it.
Can't comment on the other peninsulas - haven't been there yet.

Was camping on the Fleurieu Pen many years ago and loved it. Definitely on my list to go back there.

I've lived on or travelled all of them. The Eyre Peninsula and it's national parks and coastlines is something you shouldn't drive past if you're doing the lap. Sheringa Beach between Coffin Bay and Elliston is one of my faves. The Yorke Peninsula is a farming region with good fishing. Check it out, and the beaches, the national parks right down to the light house on the "toe". Some of the roads are a little wavy to slightly understate it, but take it easy and you'll enjoy where you are. There are lots of little cafe's and bakeries, nice parks and beaut country pubs. The Fleurieu south of Adelaide is also a region of diverse agriculture, coastal communities right down to Cape Jervice and Victor Harbour, around to Goolwa. It's a very pretty region right now. Also lots of coffee shops, wineries and bakeries. You might slip in a trip to the Barossa in there, and the Adelaide Hills. SA's history started there. Don't forget to call in to cafe' Cruising Granny on the way through. I might have to invest in a coffee machine at this rate. Safe travels.

Yorke Pen is a perfect spot for sights and fishing. The people are very friendly and the caravan parys great. Blue crabs are starting to become plentiful. Yum. Pt Vincent is a lovely place

Can reccomend Stansbury Foreshore Caravan Park, easy take off point to explore the bottom half, tons of whiting if you have a boat, squid and plenty of pensioners that will tell you how. Crabs starting now, so have a good time, I'm jealous. Ask where armchair rock is, just south of town, relaxing fishing especially during strong westerlies.

I live at Whyalla upper Eyre Peninsula Some great places to stay coming up from Port Lincoln Louth Bay ($5 per night) ,Lipsons Cove (?) Tumby Bay (Cp) Arno Bay (Cp) Port Gibbon Donation and Cowell (CP) Whyalla (Cp) pretty good as well and of course free camp at Point Lowly

I loved the Yorke Peninsula and used to camp at a place called Butler's Beach in the late 80's early 90's which was a privately owned property. It was a great spot with 5 km of coastline and brilliant fishing. There were lots of camp spots and a few caravans on one of the beaches. It used to be really cheap but I just looked it up now and see that's it's gone up in price. You used to be able to park oyur van there for $5 a night. A camp spot was $2. Oh well, it's still fairly reasonable for what oyu get but it looks like you can't take vans thee any more or bush camp.

Thank you everyone for you tips and opinions.. Maybe i should just go around all the peninsulas and check them out :) .. Im just hoping there is a few caravan parks as i have a tent but also hope they are pet friendly as my litte dog is my traveling companion..
