Well the time has come to drag the van out of it's resting place, begin the pretrip checks and get ready to roll.
Taking a wander up to the Gold Coast to finally use our tickets for the Outback Spectacular, you may remember it was on the cards awhile ago but the Mrs got crook, but alls stable at the moment, we're booked to see the show on Sept 30th, hit the track on Sunday 24th.
Looking forward to it with anticipation, and Mrs G...

Thank You to all the well wishers and we do intend to enjoy ouselves, just chomping at the bit to get going...
HW we'll see how we're travelling on the way back we might come through Echuca.
Vic it's only for a fortnight and we'll have the laptops with us so as to monitor the situation and keep in touch.
Elle, we have tickets to see the Outback Spectacular on Sept 30th at the Gold Coast, it's between "Movie World" and one of the water theme parks. Due to three grandkids having a B'day party on Sept 24th at Gumbayah Pk. out past Pakenham in Vic. we'll be leaving home (near Ballarat Vic) on Sunday Sept 25th and taking a leisurely drive with free camping up to the GC.
We'll stay up their for a few days and stroll home, I need to be back for Oct 10th (colonoscopy on the 11th, Oh Joy)
Dusty, Falcons Obsolete????? you've been listening to someone with a very vivid imagination.... We're going to give the one-tonner a run, see how it goes towing on gas.
Jules, will be in contact but it sounds like a plan, already contacted Beth and she said about organising a little get together...
Wombat you be a verry verry good liddle Wombat now and watch out for those mysterious Camel Jockeys, (One hump or Two?)......

ooooo! can I say I'm green with envy!!! I've been chomping at the bit to go *out there* for the past 2 years!!!!! Our last trip we did in an estima with a side tent... for me birthday month and it was not near enough time away....

We looked around a few others this one seemed to be reasonably priced and close to where we wanted to be.
The problem is it being the last weekend of the Qld school holidays a lot of them are up to $42 a powered site, Jacob's Well $33..
