As we won't be on the road for awhile we went for a drive to Beechmont and Binna Burra today known as the Scenic Rim, would have been a lovely spot with some lovely views except so much smoke haze about couldn't see anything, hopefully they are getting in burn offs before it really gets hot. Cheers

Monday is usually my washing day, but this week I am out Monday, out Tuesday, out Wednesday ...... and it goes on. So today (Sunday) I did all the washing etc on a day I was going to have a rest - what rest?? Washing all done, made a batch of tomato relish, made a batch of mini quiches, tried a recipe for the grandkids come Christmas (didn't work out, needs a bit of tweeking!) and THEN I sat down for a cuppa and a read of the paper!

Sunday was a nice day, but today it's been blowing its bUm off and trying to rain. It's been unseasonally warm which suits me. I'm over winter. I actually tidied up my little garden, spread a bit of slow release fertilizer and watered. I mowed my grass on Saturday and my bones are still punishing me for that task. Today I did some housework and then went for a drive looking for my former scheister boss who's gone underground with my money. Even the Industrial Court can't find him. I'll have to put it down to experience. I anyone sees a white VW motorhome with 6 yellow beacons on the roof with an "Oversize" sign on top, WA registration and "PILOT" written on it somewhere, that's him! Mongrel! That's life.

lillie,
I am with you! Sunday has to be a happy day one way or another, any word that starts with such a bright word has to be fun.
Pauline, we were on Tamborine mountain for the week end and the smoke haze was the same, Gold C was not visible...we still had a great time.
THE gold C, is Still full of smoke, I feel for the people and wild life that are in the thick of it.
Cruising G, hope you find your money! nasty fella.
Cheers Sharon,

Funny, I used to love Sundays when I was working. Now I hardly ever know what day of the week it is, except when I discover the PO is closed, and realise its Sunday!

Thanks for the thoughts folks. I think I'll just have to write it off. It's a bit early for bushfires in the eastern states. Maybe it's an indication of the coming summer. All that water from rain over the last 12 months has manifested itself in great grass cover and lush foliage. Perfect fuel for bushfires. Take care everyone, and don't drive through bushfires or the smoke. I've done it inadvertently, and it was very scary, and very risky. The smoke is so unpredictable as is the fire. Take it easy everyone.
