After about 6 months in Albany we are on the move again.Feels good to be on the road again even if its only for a short period. Must see if the wife will update the blog. When we left Albany in the wind and rain we headed along to Windy Harbour Camps 5 293 I think, well it certainly lived up to its name. Wasnt cheap though, cost was $11.50 per person + $6.00 for power. This is a council run park, has full amendies, only 6 powered sites and the power is supplied by solar and you cant use electric kettle or heater as it will trip out.
Next stop was at augusta, again at a council park that was $32 per night, not a bad park. Went for a drive out to Cape leeuwin to look at where the indian and southern oceans meet, interesting place.
We are now in Busselton for a couple of nights. Still very over cast and very windy (not bad in the shelter of the park though
cheers

Not good for walking down the Busselton Jetty. It's worth it in good weather especially to have a look at the underwater observatory where the fish get to look at you in the glass case. It's very beautiful down there and worth the small amount to get there. Bunbury is a nice place too. I camped in the park behind or opposite the race course, and even went to the races with my friends. I love WA. Enjoy. Where are you heading next?

Blaze There's a good camp spot not too far from you at Herron Point. Right on the water but still sheltered. It's $10/night in summer when there is a caretaker there but this time of the year it is free

Had a job offer in Geraldton doing antenna and sat work but I think the body is sceaming NO. The knees and other body joints are well worn from doing that sort of work, so may stay a while around rockingham close to my daughter for a while. Still dont really know what we will do. Off today to have a look around Busselton to see what they have to offer. Found a drive in movie thearte, havnt been to one of those for 25 years but they only show on fri, sat and sunday. cheers blaze

Weather much the same in Perth too for the next week Blaze, enjoy Busselton. The jetty aquarium but different from anything else in Oz and definitely worth a visit, you can look it up online too if you want to get an idea of what it's like.
Simmo's ice creams are nice too (near the jetty).

Hey I had the privalige of catching up with these guys in Denmark when they were on their way to Windy Harbour We joked about the name because the weather was horrible - lots of wind, rain, bleak, cold..... who said it was spring. Sorry to see you were charged so much for not such a good site but also good to see they were using solar power etc. It's probably good to pay to support councils to invest in renewable power. It was so nice to meet you and thanks for all the advice.
