I hope all the GN's up in SEQ didn't have too many problems with the Hail storms last night....
Not only the locals up there but the travellers around the area as well, hope you're all safe and well...

Yep it was a real beauty, came out of left side. the dogs went nuts, absolute driving rain, filled up three white plastic containers, expecting more this afternoon. Unfortunately someone was killed, a tree fell on his car.

Hi Gubby,
We are at Bribie is. and put up the annex for the first time and gues what? We had a single bed in the annex and the annex leaked a bit and that bit was over the bed. the annex is also on a slab longer than the annex and we found out that makes the water come in under the sides.also learnt you can't have electrical items in the annex. It's funny now but not then we are on a huge learning curve.. the rocket and strop

Well so far not too much actual damage to GN's gear, and if what has happened has been educational for you then that can be put down too experience.
Just hope there hasn't been big problems for any of you out there that prevents any replies for now...

All good here Gubby. No hail, but plenty of heavy rain.
Daughter got caught up in the traffic chaos, then drove through the hail damaged area. Lucky she wasn't trying to drive through there WHILE it was coming down! She posted a video on fb but I can't get it to upload onto here.

Poured rain here all last night. No hail but plenty of wind.
I had 2 large, very heavy, ceramic pots with big plants in them beside my carport. They both blew over and one is smashed to pieces.
We are supposed to be getting thunder storms and more rain starting in the early hours of tomorrow morning.
This rotten weather is probably because Beth and I have both been sick and didn't feel up to doing an unrain dance

That'd be it Pam! Had that rain here last night too, and there's another storm on the way as I type. Doesn't look like hail heading this way.

Well, it changed again and we did get a little bit of hail. Honi, Lesley was talking to her daughter in Atherton, so we heard about your storm. You've had some extremely hot days up there, just awful, I'm sure.

SA was also on storm warning yesterday afternoon. It passed across the state north of Pt. Wakefield dumping hail on Whyalla, Pt. Augusta and Pt. Pirie. It missed Adelaide fortunately. Nothing much has been reported about that in national news, but we've seen vision of Qld's hail damage and aftermath down here. I don't know what damage it did to the crops up n the mid-north. They were looking pretty good last week, but still very green, so damage may be minimal. Some farmers have already mowed and windrowed in preparation for harvest to avoid storm damage such as this. They're very preceptive these farmers. I hope everyone is ok after these huge storms.

Nature can be so vicious is so many ways. Bushfires, cyclones, floods, thunder storms, dust storms, blasting gales. It's been windy here in Adelaide today, but no rain yet. Could be some coming. It's cold tonight. Tuck in and stay safe wherever you are.

We are in for another strange summer with lots of variations. Next week here we are getting 3 or 4 days of between 28 - 30 degrees then going back to a wet miserable weekend straight after. Just don't know what to expect next.
