For your information here are a few activities in the Echuca area.
Sunday 30th October Is the Echuca/Moama market, held on the Moama side of the bridge
The Moama Market is a large general market with everything from clothing, second hand goods, arts and crafts, and food and wine choices
Monday 31st October is the Echuca Turkish Bazaar.
Visitors on the Melbourne Cup weekend are in for a treat. Hare Street is closed to traffic on the Monday for the Turkish Bazaar, a bonanza for bargain-hunters. The day takes on a carnival atmosphere as retailers bring their wares out onto the street to sell at often heavily-reduced prices.
Tuesday 1st November is the Echuca Races held in conjunction with the Melb Cup. They stop for the Melb Cup so you don't miss out.
Just a few ideas of what is available to fill in time before heading out to the lake.

I am planning to be at Greens by Sunday 30/31st at the latest. Can stay till Wednesday, hope to meet some of you while I'm up there. The Turkish bazaar sounds like it could be of interest to some mates of mine I might suggest they come up for the day. The Pod

We had a great wander down the Newell H'wy, and are currently in Melbourne. (Not impressed with the weather !!)
We were planning to be at Greens lake by Thurs/Fri of this week, but am not sure I want to deal with the crowd/boats over the long weekend.
Think we might go some genealogy and chase up some lost family graves around country Vic. and arrive Greens Lake after Cup Day.

I won't get back out there till next Tuesday now. Too much to do here at home. Have now got all the inhouse power connected to Myrtle. Looking at repairing the wheels in the pop top part so I can put the roof up and tomorrow have to go buy two new tyres. This nomading is never ending in finding something to spend money on. Was going to leave tyres till early in the new year but one of the back ones I've pumped up twice in the last few days and each time it has dropped back to 22 within a couple of days, so must be a fault there somewhere. JazzinAround went back out to Greens Lake today, said Billeeee is there still, also JustCruisin and Nu One. Could be a busy weekend out there. Need to be here to help daughter with a couple of doctors apps also as S.in.L has been sent away for a few days with work.
Hope there is space for me when I finally get back out to Greens.

Thanks Ken I will see what I can manage. I am booked for a family do at Wilsons Prom on that weekend and as it's for me I should probably try and attend. I rurally would like to meet up with some of you while I'm there. I forgot about the holiday for cup day and then Bendigo cup day Wednesday. I'm a New South Welsh person originally so I'm used to the whole work place stopping for the cup but not a holiday necessarily. I guess I'll take my chances and see who is there. Do you all wear red carnations over your left ear or something???? Pod

Hi Tess, You will see a line of them all along the waters edge about the same place where I was parked when you came out. Most will have a grey nomad sticker on. If you are staying till Wednesday I will see you before you head off. There will be a few there when you arrive. Just give them a yell, I'm sure someone will poke there head out.

HW, try putting a new valve in before you get new tyres, it could be just that, and you may get through to next year for tyres, or maybe win those in the photo comp
