Hadn't noticed Pam. I know I have recommended the site to a few nomads who don't have the sticker on their van.

I tell everyone I meet on the road about this forum and the site. As far as forums go it's one of the friendliest, congenial and most fun. While we all share information and advice, there is no one-up-manship, "I know more than you do!" or "I do it better than you!" And that's a good thing. I believe everyone does this travel thing according to their lifestyle, budget and bucket list of ambitions and destinations. If we bear all that in mind, we will always be on friendly terms and carry on with the utmost respect for everyone. Membership isn't the biggy, but it is an indication of the high standard of the contributions.

Yes I have to agree , it has been a godsend for howard and myself. I have learnt so much, reading everyones experiences, and learning tips etc. As they say a problem shared is a problem halved. Also the depth of knowledge has been fantastic, and you are a friendly lot. I enjoy how some of you change your avatars, its very clever and quirky, and always surprising.

No thanks, but I reckon Virgin may lease a few planes to keep up with the traffic flow. That Irish leprechaun they call the CEO has to be deported asap. He won't negotiate with the staff over pay and conditions, he gets a $2m BONUS at the AGM on top of a multi-million dollar salary, and then he shuts the airline down. If that's not mutiny I don't know what is. No one on this planet is worth that much in wages. He should be made to pay his way out of his contract on his way out the door. I don't believe he has the best interest of Qantas at heart.

Why is it that Australia seems bent on having overseas CEO's and paying them huge salaries.
Surely we have reputable people here who can do the job adequately enough.
The OS CEO's stuff up our industries, take their huge paychecks and go back home never to be heard of again.
Am I missing something here?
