Yes, I finally have a photo of Lucy towing Lulu!
Not going away until next week, but I've had a couple of weeks of preparation.
Car had new tyres fitted last week, and this week she had sturdier springs fitted.
Today was Lulu's turn to get new tyres. It was the first time I'd towed her since I purchased her a few months ago. After the job was done, I had to reverse her out of Bridgestopne's driveway. I had a couple of attempts and one of the blokes offered to do it, but I said no, I have to learn. On the next attempt, I got it!
When I got back to daughters, I had to manouvre her into her parking spot beside the shed. That was really tricky, but I got it!
On Monday I plan to go and give her a good cleanout, and load her up, ready to leave for Cooloola Cove on Thursday. I'm excited but nervous. I'm normally a confident driver, but having never towed anything this size before...I'll just take it slowly until I'm comfortable with her.

Well that is great news, slowly gets the job done, you will be doing it with one eye closed after enough practice, like me, I just learnt today how to scan my printed out pictures to the computer (thanks to a lot of help from Wombat) and I have been practising all afternoon, as you can see if you visit the photo comp page. Lulu looks like she should have been behind Lulu all her life, You won't know yourself........

Looks great Beth, I looked at a couple the same but when I measured the height it wouldn't fit under my carport roller door so decided on and got my Avan camper. My trip to Townville for 6 weeks is a goer for Just after Easter 2012. Have a great and safe trip Beth.

Haven't measured the height Milo. If I remember rightly, your car is a Getz? If so, no, the motor needs to be at least a 2lt.

I used to be a dreamer too Milo, and it's all happened for me. Just keep thinking positive...good things come to those who wait.
And no, the Mazda 2 isn't strong enough.
