Most of the time there are more United States guests than Australians online to our site (which is great).
Can I encourage them to check out our photo competition to see what our great country has to offer.
The photos are great but the real thing is even better and just waiting to be visited.
Cheers,
John

Just looked up about the USA and apparently they are called Snowbirds not Greynomads,as they move from North to South and they are different to us, it is a very interesting read.http://homes.jcu.edu.au/business/public/groups/everyone/documents/journal_article/jcudev_012893.pdf

Brian88: - They follow the warmer weather in the opposite direction to us.
The point of my post was to invite them to Australia to see for themselves instead of looking at photos and reading forums posts .
Australia is a beautiful country with a lot to offer and going by the interest shown on our forum, they could catch a Qantas flight, hire a Campervan and have a great adventure.
Our tourism industry could do with the of extra patronage.

Brian88: - I'm trying to kick start the tourism industry mate, not scare them off.
Kangaroos are cute & cuddly and best patted in parks and caravan parks.
Wombats - Known as slow moving rocks & that's why they invented bull bars.
(Usually dopey and only come out at night).
Koala's only dangerous if you are silly enough to pick them up as they will pee all over you.
Bandicoots - Live in hope of actually seeing one before I pass on.
Tasmanian Devils - Poor little devils are dropping like flies and will soon be a endangered species.
Cheers,
John

Me too, what an interesting article, written in 2005, I think there would be a lot more solo females on the road now than there were then.
I have noticed if I check the forum early in the morning (night here, day in the US) they are just about all from the US, plus a few from other countries, even China.
Please feel free to join our forum overseas people and make a post if you wish, it would be great to hear from you and what the RV life or life in general is like in your country etc, you are most welcome.

To all those overseas watching us Aussies , wish you would join us , we are a great mob! By the way , a wombat comes out at night and rumoges around and he is a great big furry four legged animal , usually living in the ranges , they live in burrows , alongside creek beds , but unfortunatly , they tend to walk across the road at the wrong time , and cars and people get hurt if you are not aware of their presence , same with kangaroos , sad but its , what happens when you move faster than nature!
