We have had storms tuesday & wednesday mornings which made things very wet, another last night.
This morning is fine with some cloud, A swimming pool along the lake edge where all were parked , glad we stayed up on Greens Lake Heights Estate.
Billeeeee arived back wed, morning & drove straight into the slippery muddy section, there he cooled his heels untill afternoon when it dried a little.
Jazzinaround was then able to drive here M/H out to firm ground. Then it was Shady&me;s turn & yep, they were stuck. Billeeeee tried to dig it out& just made it lean more towards the lake.
We think Billeeeeee was trying to get the job of stopping norma from rolling out of bed last night. We suggested this to Norma, she didn't even need to call a friend or help line on this one, it was back to the drawing board for Billeeeeeee. LOL. Gotta come up with a better one than that mate.!
So it was your's truly to the rescue again, Winched the yellow submerine from its resting place & parked in on higher ground for Norma. I;m sure she would have slept better last night, but then we may just have to knock on the door this morning to make sure
Stay tuned to this space for further developments.

I was thinking the same. At least you all had a great time before the rain started.

I left Tuesday arvo, was home before it all started otherwise I would have been parked in that big puddle you can see. That poor fire looks very sorry for itself. Supposed to dry up from now on so hope you are all safe out there.

The power of the Troopy... I love it. Today I helped a mate in his 4.2L Ford Maverick (Nissan Patrol) pull out a tree stump. We had his vehicle chained to the top of the stump (about 600mm diameter) 2M above the ground. My 4.2L turbo Troopy tied to the front of his vehicle. Both in 4WD low on dirt. Effectively we had 8.4L semi turbo 8 wheel drive low ratio... it didn't stand a chance.

On the bowling green at Harrisville (se Qld) today - very, very hot - even dedicated beer drinkers headed for the water tap - tipping it over their heads and all - not cooled down much tonight either - sitting in front of the fan now - glad all got out safely at Greens - always know when camped near water, first sign of rain - move to higher ground!

Was wondering how you had faired with the storms. We had light drizzle coming home on Tuesday and not a lot of rain since we got back to the Grove. Heading off to Mildura tomorrow for 6 days, without the van. Boy life is hectic.

We arrived home in Newcastle yesterday, having missed Greens Lake when a close family member died in Melbourne, and we stayed on for the funeral last Monday. Headng home, we drove past the turn off for Greens Lake on Wednesday morning (marginally ahead of the storms) and discussed whether to turn in and see if anyone else was there, but as no one mentioned staying on, we decided to keep heading north ahead of the rain. Sorry to have missed you- not sorry to have missed the mud

You could have called in with the pretence of using the loo Rip and Rosie. I have seen people come in just for that and go again. There were at least 4 there on Wednesday, then a couple came back from a short trip away.
