If anyone is around the Tin Can Bay area the country club does two for one on a Saturday night (check if it's still so of course). A hot rock comes to your table with the biggest fattest Porterhouse sizzling away on it to cook however you like it, $3 extra gets you 3 lovely fat TCB prawns to cook with it. The Veges served on the side were cooked to perfection with roast tatters or chips and a mirriad of sauces to choose from. Worth the $10 dollar fee to be a member because everything is cheaper and the $10 would be save in the first go, but still excellent value if you don't. Yum Yum

I spent about 5 wet days in TCB in 2008. The caravan park was a bog hole so a friend and I spent a lot of time at the club. We played Keno and even had a win from 4 out of 4. The food was good at the time. It's great to discover these little corners which offer something real and different for a reasonable price. They deserve to be supported for their efforts.

Are you still in TCB Geoff n Jen? I'm here too!
I've done the steak at the Country Club in the past. AND won a meat tray!
Last night we had fish n chips at Norman Point and watched the sun go down. Lovely.
Today we're off to drive along the beach at Rainbow Beach, then through Freshwater back to Rainbow. Beautiful area!
