We are still up at Yolla and the wind has just started to get up again.
Went out to Cradle Mtn this morning and it was still a tad chilly up there but generally a good day.
Where are you at the moment Sue and Terry?

We live in Ulverstone, about 20 minutes east of Burnie. A beautiful seaside town, nice and quiet. Have lived here since we were children, married and we still live here.

Not sure which way we are heading when we leave here and don't even know when we will be leaving, probably in the next couple if days.
Is there a nice coffee shop in your neck of the woods where we could have a coffee when we do come through?

Hi Ma, Ulverstone has quite a few coffee shops. Deli Central has good coffee and also Lancaster House on the corner of the main shopping street. Plus there is the Emporium, Crusty's and Banjo's, all are in the main street.

No use going to a "penguin" market, you won't be allowed to take them out of the state?
Don't forget to get you passport updated with a visa to cross "The Oatland Line" when heading south.

Hi Ma,
The Oatland line??
If you where to draw a line across Tasmania from West to East that bisected Oatlands (it's a town on the Midland Highway) you would have the "Oatland Line)
Now, it's a well known fact here in Tasmania, that the North does not mix with the South. A bit like "oil and water."
Therefore, you need to make sure that you have permission (a visa) in your passport (signed by Minister Bryan Green) to cross the Oatlands Line.
You do have an Australian passport????
They did check it at the exit to Devonport, I hope?
Your'e not illegal boat people???
If you answer in the negative to any of the above, we do have a very nice detention centre at Brighton.
Cheers, hope you are having a ball.

That's a pity.
Two heads are better than one!
I'm not a recognised Tasmanian yet, only been here Twenty Five years, five more to go!
Weather here for the past few days has been sunny tropical. (i.e. South of the Outlands line)

Went to the Devonport show today.
Good country type of show with cattle and sheep and chooks.
Nice Flower displays and lapidary.
Lots of pony club events
The prerequisite side show alley and show bags
Lots of food stall so of course had to have the obligatory Dagwood Dog WITH tomato sauce of course
Machinery displays both old and new and hot rod cars.
We had a great day.
