18ks South West of Burnie. Florin Hill Farm with hosts Bob and Rhonda is a very relaxing and comfortable place to stay.
Scenie views looking over farmland to the coast at Wynyard, pleasant rustic sounds to awaken you in the mornings and very pleasant happy hours most evenings with your extremely pleasant host and hostess.
A very convenient location to base yourself to do day trips to Burnie, Wynyard, Stanley and Devenport and all places in between.
As with most "free camps" it is recommended that you are self sufficient.
We have enjoyed our time here and will definitely return before we venture back to the mainland.
If you are interested in staying just give Florinhill a PM it certainy is worth staying.

Hi Ma and Florinhill
I will definitely be heading to Tassie at some point with my 2 dogs and will be free camping in my ute (a solar panel on the canopy) and will leave the caravan behind for this trip. I will have a tent and a portapot and shower tent but will not be strictly self contained but would still like to drop in and say hello to GN's on the way. I would plan on spending at least 2 or 3 months in Tassie and would probably go back a few times. This is a great network and it's so good to have so many friends on the road.

Hi Bob and Rhonda,
I am just reading your post of Florin Hill Farm and as we are planning a trip to Tassie early next year, your place sounds just wonderful. Can you please tell me a town close by as I can not see you in the camps 7book or on my maps.
We look forward to meeting you one day if at all possible.
Chicken.

Hi to all,
unfortunatly Florinhill Farm is no longer available for general stop overs, Rhonda and I are travelling ourselves now, and although we are in Tassie in the summer we are rearly home as we are catching up on the sights of our great state. We have leased our land to allow us to get away.
If you see us about in the The Cottage be sure to say hello.
