There's always something to cause a holdup. First I got blisters under my feet after walking the campaspe Esplanade with my daughter at beginning of week. Couldn't get shoes on for a couple of days.
Then the element in my oven blew Wednesday night and had to wait for electrician to come which he did yesterday, Thursday, afternoon.
As I hadn't been out all week had to go out to do the shopping and pay bills today, took all day, did include visiting daughter and bub.
Now waiting on my SinL to set up the spare Navman to take with me, he had to go out of town for work for a couple of days, was due back tonight so hopefully will get that tomorrow and head off Sunday.
We are supposed to have a thunderstorm with lots of rain over the next couple of days so probably good I haven't set off yet.
No plans go smoothly, do they?

Someone from the Salvos told me this one.
"How do you make God laugh?"
"Tell him your plans"

when you do eventually decide to go, have a safe trip, btw your avatar needs an update, Myrtle with new strips will do, perhaps when you come back from your trip you will have some new shots of her, don't forget to have the sun behind you when you take the shots.

This is the best I've got at the moment, Will get another one out of the shade. The silver holographic changes into all colours in the sun. Will put it here too so it can be enlarged.
WOW, that was quick, thought I would have to wait until after your trip
Nice flash unit you have there now HW.

I feel for your feet Marj.
I came back from Cooloola with a crook knee from walking in soft sand.
Last week it suddenly got much worse, after walking up son's huge flight of steps to his house. So I've been in agony all week. Family Xmas is at his place this Sunday, so I think I'll be asking someone to help me to the back door with only 3 steps.
Marj, sorry to hear about your setback...but glad that you should be getting away on Sunday.
I was wondering why you hadn't gone yet.
Have a great time.
Pam.

Come on girl! Get out there! One of the advantages of being painfully independent is I never have to wait for anyone to do things for me. I don't let things beat me. If I get a hold up, I rally my strength and thoughts, look for the upside, and find a way to get on with it. Whether it be pain, aches or other nuisances of life, I refuse to give in. This is your time Marj. Get going.

I didn't have a lot of choice CG. When the element in the oven went, I had to wait till the electrician came to replace it. He could have taken days, thankfully he didn't. Will be off on Sunday for sure, have started sorting and putting things at the front door in readiness.

I see. Well it would have still been there when you got back. You didn't need the overn while you were away. What's a few scones and roast without the oven for a few days? Ah, well, it's fixed now, and the leash should be off, like you. Time you were off, like a bucket of prawns in the sun. Have a bonza Christmas whatever you do.

Its raining here now so that thunderstorm should come through soon, hopefully cleared enough in the morning, will be going anyway.
CG Unfortunately when you live in a rental you do have to stay round for the electrician, If it had been left till I came back I wouldn't have had an oven through the Xmas break. Rather get it done now and Know I have it fixed to come back to.
