Hi all: Just bought the bride an e reader but now I need to know how to get the ebooks. She is not very computer savvy so I have to find out how to down load them first so I can show her. Can any one tell me of any free down load sites to get started. Any help would be appreciated.

This is where we get ours, they usually come in PDF but you can download a program called calibre and convert to an epub to suit your reader. An example is my wife purchased 49 JD Robb books for $9 If I knew how to post a pdf or if anyone wants a complete list message me or email ebook.hq.fl@gmail.com and ask for a list
Thank you for choosing Ebooks Headquarters! Here is a current list of authors and their books that I have. If you'd like to place an order, please email me at ebook.hq.fl@gmail.com with what you'd like and I'll send you an invoice via Paypal! The price that you see is for the entire collection (ie: you will recieve all 13 7 Deadly Sins books for $4.00). Shipping will be free on all orders over $25 and $2 for orders under $25. Enjoy your ebooks and thanks again! ***Please note that there is a $2.00 minimum order due to Paypal fees. *** I am currently going through about 15,000 ebooks and adding them to this list. It's going to take me some time to complete it but I'll be sending out updates periodically. ***I am also able to get a very large collection of audio books as well. If you're interested, let me know what you'd like and I'll see if I can get it.

Why is there a shipping fee? Aren't eBooks electronic books?

Not with these books they are on a CD. E Books are still data. Like I said 49 books cost $9, would of taken a lot of time and a lot of valuable downloads. The 49 books = 140 meg

Its a shame when that happens. I've lost a few books that way myself. I have an e-reader on my Christmas list. Does anyone use their local Library for ebook downloads. I have been told you can borrow the same way as a hard book. You just have to delete when finished reading.
Thanks everyone for the links on books. Very informative.

FYI, Project Gutenberg is always looking for volunteers to proofread their scanned books. If people have some free time, perhaps they could lend a hand, even if they only do a few pages a day.
