I HAVE JUST DONE FOR A MATE BOUGHT ALL THE RUBBERS FROM A CARAVAN REPAIRER ABOUT $200.00 AND COMPLETED IN A WEEKEND, QUITE EASY

The main problem is the join along the Top of the Pop Top.
We were caught in the Floods in Queensland and it has leaked ever since. I think I will have to remove all the old sealant and start again.
We want to head off again Boxing Day.

whenever doing any resealing of any thing all old sealant must be removed and the surface to be resealed must be thoughly cleaned cheers blaze ps the completed jpb will only be as good as the prep

Thats what I did. The previous pop top we had developed a leak. I dug out all the old sealant all the way around. Really loaded it up with new sealant, never leaked again after that. I used Sikaflex. And as blaze says, give it a good clean before squeezing in the new sealant. Use plenty too, let it well and truly overlap the join. Doesnt matter how much you use, nobody can see up there anyway.

Sikaflex marine and auto keeps its flexibility and holds its grip. You can clean the surface with turps or acetone which is nail polish remover, and that's what I used. Good luck.
