According to Camps 5 , there is a campsite at Cleaverville Beach , but it is only open from May to September .
Obviously a cyclone prone area .

Hi Again, Thanks for the replys...
I have previously checked the net and seen pics of the spot, gathered all the info to make the decision that i would like to go there.
However there can be no better info than from someone who has actually stayed there. just figured someone from the group may have camped at Cleaverville and could give me some inside info.

Hi Ozduo, I spent 2 weeks at Cleaverville at the end of September. There is about 14 kms of dirt road, some medium to light corrugations in places, but generally not too bad and of a reasonable width, making for easy access by caravans. It is a wilderness camp area, closed from October to May due to turtles nesting in the area. There is the main camp area, which could easily accommodate 40+ vans and numerous other sites along the beach front.. There a a few dinghy launch sites along the beach accessible by 4x4 vehicles,a couple of nice swimming beaches also. Campers should be self sufficient,as there is no power or water (Karratha or Roebourne). Numerous dump points and rubbish is collected frequently by the shire. Will I go there again............youbetcha!!!!!!!!!!
