NEED tourism advice in the Hills/Hawkesbury region? Look for the campervan.
Hills Hawkesbury Riverlands Tourism (HHART) launched its walk-in mobile visitor information centre at Riverside Oaks on Friday.
The Nomad mobile centre was built in partnership with Parravans Windsor and provides a space where visitors can walk in and be treated to all the information they need on the area.
In conjunction with the Nomad, HHART have released two mobile phone applications to provide real time information to tourists as well as how to find all the great things to see and do.
It is important we are not only where the people are but also provide them with the information they need on our area in the best way possible, HHART chief Lori Modde said.

I'll wager it's just another Information booth on wheels to steer you too a local Caravan park......I have know volunteers involved with c/p's and I will add some of the Volunteers are great peopel Most I should say........AT Bowan Last year they were upset when I asked for the free camping spots...Should have heard the reply from one Lady.....One would have thought I'd asked her to sleep with me

Jimbo you would have to be the most relentlessly negative person I have ever come across.
The mobile information centre sounds like a good idea over the summer tourism season, presumably it will travel around spending a day or two in areas that don't have their own permanent info centre.

Sounds like a great idea, I think there should be more of them around, any information about any area is good information.

I add my weight to the good idea & I would wager the Richmond Club has had a hand in getting this up & running, even though I have nothing to back this up.

Maybe we should suggest they call at free camp sites as most caravan parks already have tourist info available, we definitely support the idea
