Heard this on the local ABC radio, and thought some one on the road might see this young bloke.
Brad is a 22 yrs old uni grad who is running solo from Canberra to Cape York, starting 1/1/2012 and raising funds for mental health research.
His web site (bradrunsnorth.com) says he is heading east from Canberra, and the up the coast.
Brad is running alone, with just a back pack and I think a small tent. If you see him, he's looking for "a sofa to sleep on" and probably a hot cuppa and some company.

Great to see your posts because I'm Brad's dad and, tho he's old enough to look after himself, it's nice to know there are others looking out for him! He's planning to stay off the main road as much as possible, but will be visible - green shirt/red scarf/white cap - has one change of clothes which are the same. Does not have a tent, but is planning to get to places where he can buy a bed if he needs to. Loves a cup of tea and a chat!
