Thanks for responses. We have glued the aluminium shaft to the plastic that goes thru the sink and the tap sits on top of that. So we will see how that goes.
We were concerned that we had the same problem ,in the same place, with 2 taps. But checking on forums it doesn't seem to be a huge problem out there. Maybe we are just unlucky!!
Thanks again

Had a similar problem with last van and discovered that where they join is a slide on fit as the water supply is very low pressure and over time with the hand pump being operated the aluminium tube worked loose I pushed it home and applied silastic after it came loose a second time and it never leaked again its also important to keep it tight where it comes through the bench top as this reduces chances of it working loose due to operating pump handle
Hello, can anyone help me?
We have a pump galley tap in our sink. The first one leaked so we replaced it with the same type purchased from BCF. This also leaked.
Has anyone a solution to this leaking problem?
Hi, it is leaking between the aluminium tube and the plastic fitting that goes through the sink.
Wondered if it was a fault of this particular type of tap, and maybe there is a more reliable fitting.
Thanks,
Welcome to the forum Having Fun, not sure what the problem is but maybe the info on these links can help;
