Hi, firstly happy new year, & we have found a nice & cheap camp/ van park in Perth. Its Keswick Camp Wattle Grove its a bush type park with essentials only, the cost is $125 pw powered site for vans, no slabs but trees with shade ablutions are old but clean ( i love the fact that the floors are concrete & not slippery) has camp kitchen, playground, pool, its set up for school camps etc but that is away from where we park, lots of room, & protected from the dreadful wind that we copped at Serpentine. Not sure if its in Camps book i've only got camps 3 & its not in it. Hope this is useful for somebody will try to post some pics of it tomorrow when i work out to do that.

You're right, colsa - we've stayed there a couple of times now and will possibly be back there in the next week or so (are you still there?). Very peaceful, even when they had kids in the camp, and well sheltered.
Hi Andrea, yep we will be here untill may then house sitting for about 7 weeks then hopefully back here for a few months. Looking forward to meeting you Cheers Colsa

Hi Colsa,
You've found a good spot there, I didn't even realise they had sites for campers and I live in this area!!!!
Andrea - we might wait and catch up with you when you go there as it is a lot closer to us than where you are at the moment. Maybe we could have a get together with you to Colsa and anyone else who is local?

Hi Colsa,
There is a chance we may go there too (vacancies permitting) very soon, doing a few things for the vans at the moment but may be within the next two weeks, so may catch up with you and some of the others there.

The pleasure was all ours Colsa's, it was great to catch up and see what a great spot you have in a very nice park, a very peaceful place indeed!
After picking up the item we were after (and getting lost finding the place again....gps definitely on the get one list) we got home to find a main water line had burst on our side of the meter, so who knows how long that had been leaking as we were away all day. Got home about 5.30 PM Perth time.
About a week ago a hot water pipe burst in the back yard, got the bill yesterday and paid it online, then got home today to find this has happened also.......Just as well we had not gone away somewhere and not turned our gas and water off (gas hot water heater). Ok, I'll stop wingeing now and remember how fortunate we are to only have these minor annoyances in our lives.
(hmmmmm......I wonder if Wombat has been rooting around in my yard looking for roots and leaves...... )

Good shot Ailsa, well done !! No stopping you now, lol
Remember I was telling you how much I hated "south of the river" (and not because Wombat lives there, although I am always aware not to fall down any holes, ha ha). That's because I always get lost in that general area.
