Sorry i posted this as a separate article it should have been attached to vic's...
If anyone is interested here are a few article I have managed to find about my Grandfather, Morgan Lee owner of the Band of Hope, Mine who fought in the Eureka stockade.

That's very interesting Pete, some people give the impression that the Eureka Stockade was just a bunch of hot heads, but there was a lot more to it than that as you know, including legal challenges in the court to what the government was trying to impose, but things came to a head before that leading to the battle. The miner's legal battle was eventually won after the stockade and things were changed, which justified their challenge.
I don't think there would be too many that had past relatives who fought at the Stockade, something to be proud of.

The Eureka Stockade, along with the shearers' strikes of the 1890s and our convict heritage are a part of who we are today, probably the most egalitarian nation on the planet.

Thanks for the photo's Billeeee.......I take it that is the site of the Eureka Stockade at Ballarat? I like the motto for the flag, short but good.
I've put that on my "must visit" bucket list!
