I was just reminded by a PM from Milo that we haven't followed up on a previous thread (click link) where we were offered much condolances after losing our young, but loved Golden Retriever Charlie.
The breeder from South Australia went over & above her duty and so very kindly offered to replace Charlie with another pup when we were ready.
We took a road trip to Brisbane via Adelaide in late November and we advised Terri (the breeder) that we were coming through and would return the cage she loaned us to fly Charlie to Perth in.
What a surprise when she said "what good timing, I have your new pup ready to pick up".
He became a seasoned traveller very quickly spending 2 nights in motels (with manager's permission) then from Brisbane to Perth in caravan parks with the only hiccup being a couple chunders on the first day while getting his 'car legs'
He is now just 7 months old, well house trained and loves walking on a lead and is learning new commands.
A couple pics of our new familly member....
Thanks for reading

Cody certainly brings a smile to the face. We have just had our son's golden retriever for her weekly Christmas holiday. She loves coming and gives us some dogtime to replace our beautiful little Benny and our own retriever wwho we lost 3 years ago. Keep the photos coming so we can share Cody's journey.

He is beautiful. Retrievers are wonderful dogs and such great travellers and very socialable with other dogs. All the best and hope to see many more photos of his adventures on the road.

Thank you all for the very kind words, I find dogs of all types bring out the best in people and we all could learn a lot from them. I saw an email the other day pointing out how good dogs would be as teachers, I'll find it & post it here.
I know Cody will give us lots of happy times and we will do our best to make him happy.
Your Goldie is lovely Cannylass and I have picked up a tip from your grand-daughter....next bath will be in the wheelbarrow! Thanks for the pics.
Thanks again for your thoughts
