Thanks David, have just told my "recorder" SWMBO, so will blame her if we miss it.
We have been watching "A man and his camper van" on Thursday nights at 8PM on SBS2, a bloke in a VW combi van travelling around the UK, he does a bit of cooking in it from wild vegies/herbs he finds along the way, but very interesting.
Only one for about half an hour, but well worth it.

Cindy is blonde and looks too young to be a grey nomad. They introduce her as the organiser of thegreynomads website and they also show the front page of thegreynomads site, so you can't miss her.
I think she had a slight accent.

Hi Guys. My name is Lou. I was watching a current affair tonite and decided to look you up on internet. Hubby and I are just retired and wanna be part of the "SKin' clan. We don,t have a motor home, but we love going to stay in onsite cabins.
I,m wondering if you could suggest some delightful out of the way places to visit. We,ve done all the usual touristy places in Victoria, but Im sure there are many places stil to explore. Anybody able to give us a point in the right direction.? Would be truly greatful. We love rivers, waterfalls, creeks and places to fish. Cute little towns with arts and crafts, and scenic places, markets, friendly townspeople. Any suggestions??

Just watching it, what a lot of bullsh1t, a total beatup, this is not what grey nomading is all about.
This show was all about luxury caravan parks, I don't know about anyone else but I could not afford that life.
The only bit of truth in the report was the tiny piece about this site.

Welcome Louis the fly, you will find all sorts of valuable info on here. You don't need to have a van to be a grey nomad, just a yearning to travel this great land. If you've done all the touristy places in Vic, time to head over the border. You will be pleasantly surprised.

If you watched 7 Todaytonight you would have seen a completely different story of lots of caravan parks, some quite flash, families travelling together and nothing to do with Greynomading. Not something I could afford. 9's ACA was the Greynomad story as mentioned by gunnadoo at the start of this thread.

Welcome Lou and partner. This is a great place to gain info and meet and discuss a whole range of subjects with a great bunch of like-minded people. Well, we are like-minded most of the time.
We even have our own resident Wombat - he is definitely unique .
There is a wide range of info - use the 'search' function for a topic perhaps, or simply scroll back through old threads within each sub-forum. If you can't find what you are looking for, ask a question.
Again, welcome.
cheers

Have fun in Geelong Marj and don't worry too much about that fuel gauge. It really doesn't matter how much you get out of Myrtle just as long as you get from a-b and back again.

Watched the show with Cindy in it tonight... definitely better-looking than anybody else in the show.
It was not about my kind of Grey-nomadding, more the migratory sort who go to the same site in the same (expensive) tourist park every year for many years... 52 years in one case! Mr D said that showed a definite lack of imagination. Each to their own of course.
