I've had this cold and wet weather here in Wonthaggi. I know Wonthaggi means Land of Wind and Rain but enough is enough.

we are thoroughly enjoying Gippsland weather after 8.5 years in Perth. To sleep at night without aircon is wonderful

Try Adelaide - 42degC one day, cold and wet the next. It's too hard to predict and dress appropriately, so I'll keep up my usual standard of inappropriate dress.

Yes, would be a scorcher over there Brian. I went down to Twin Towns today for a birthday lunch with friends in Horizons Restaurant. We sat out on the deck overlooking the water...it was a lovely temp in the ocean breeze. Air con car there and back, so didn't really notice the heat til I got home.

Sorry to tell you, but Feb is our hottest month in Qld. And most times, the wettest, although you'd be used to that.

In Meroo Nat park. weather is too good. I want some rain. I love sitting under me tarp by the fire in the rain. The climate change (cold december) has caused trees to shed heaps of leaves. When it does get HOT i will be leaving, big fire danger i reckon.

Ok keep rubbing it in, you can send SOME of that warmer weather this way then, not too much though, just enough to warm up a bit and remind us that it is summer. If and when we get those 40o days I will keep quiet and say nothing.

I lived in Wonthaggi for years. I know how deary it can be. January can be awful down in Gippsland some years - grey, grey, grey with that freezing east wind blowing. February/March are often really hot down that way if you're staying on.
