A friend of mine is going caravan touring with her dogs and I had to remeind her to take his vacanation cert with her as if she wanted to kennel her dog she will need that.We took our Golden retriver around Australia and when we wanted to leave him in a kennel we had to show his papers we found vet in some towns would take dogs for the day for just $10

Hi Cannylass and Rip Yes we travel with our KelpieLabX...you should always carry all your vet books with you. Also I have them in the tow vehicle for those times when you leave the van at CP. We go offroad and it helps for when the rangers stop you. You will be fined without proof etc. Regards,,,Keith

Digressing slightly but I've noticed some caravan parks that previously had a no pets policy are now allowing dogs, subject to conditions. It pays to ask when making a site reservation even if their normal policy is no pets.

We travel with a small dog and I never gave a thought to carrying his vet papers with us. I'll have to make a copy and leave in the van, just in case. Great info guys.

Thank you for the reminder CL. One item we would probably have forgotten to take, on our next trip east, would have be our Golden Retriever's (Cody's) vaccination certificate.
I wouldn't have the heart to kennel him as he is so attached to us, as we are to him but at least we'd have the certificate if the need ever arises that he needs to see a Vet.
Cheers
Lynne
