There is a big brekkie at the park down by the jetty overlooking the lovely Pumicestone Passage on Bribie Island. For us - a fun day at lawn bowls playing pirates and wenches!!! Then hamburgers for tea. Why hamburgers? Well on our wedding night quite a number of years ago, nothing else but a takeaway shop was open, so each year we have hamburgers for tea! It's nice having a public holiday for your wedding anniversary! But whatever you decide to do - everyone, have a great day!!

I was watching the Nat geo channel on the box and they said there are "dead zones " around all the major population centres in the world, except Australia!Which proves this is the best place in the world to live.Bill

No, places where there is no life in the rivers or seas, due to pollution. China has the most.

I read a short piece in the paper the other day about a bloke whose Uncle was aboriginal, and they have a celebration they call Invasion Day. All apparently tongue in cheek, but it makes me wonder how other aborigines feel about 'Australia Day'.
Happy Australia Day all!
