Has anyone stayed at the Snug Beach Caravan Park in Tasmania?
Would be interested to know what you thought of your stay and the amenities, price etc.

Hi, we didn't stay at the Snug CP, but down the the road a bit at Gordon we had good free camping right along the Channel. & if you are heading south, then there was good cheap (can't remember how much, but not much), camping at the sailing club at Port Huon.

Thanks everyone.
After due consideration the other half (Blue) has decided it's to be the Snug van park. Wonder why that is?
Could it have something to do with fishing perhaps.............

IMO you won't regret it, the best caravan park in the general area of Hobart.
Went past it yeaterday, not overcrowded at the moment.
Don't forget that if you are a "mainlander" any fish you catch that is over 300mm in length must be "donated" to a worthy local.
Weather is starting to become favourable.
Enjoy.

Does that mean Blue can't throw what he catches back, which is what he usually does?
Will catch up later in the week Dusty.

Not sure? Nothing in the Advice for Mainlanders Fishing in Tasmania Guide book about that scenerio.
It does however mention, that if you throw them back, you must kiss them goodbye.

Hello Ma
We stayed there in Mar 2010 for a week. Nice park, has the basics and from memory facilities were very clean. It is close to the water and the views from the van, if positioned down the backof the park, provide a nice back drop for Happy Hour. It can get a bit breezy and cool. Have a safe anf happy stay in Tassie

Hi Dusty, Ma and Blue,
Blue must know the rules as he gave me a couple he caught while we were fishing last week. This one finished up in the smoker was a good feed too. Thanks Blue.

Hi Bob,
Works every time
You tell these dumb mainlanders the rules and you geta fish.
I just hate the "paybacks" when we go over to the big north isle.

Ain't payback grand.
Blue said you can have all the fish he catches if you want Dusty.
Ma,
Haven't been to Tassie, although doing a fly drive for a couple of weeks, could only get two weeks off work, flying into Hobart 8th Feb.
Check out Badgers site for Snug

I note there are no photos on Caravan Park Photos site

If you take any photos you might sent them in to John.
