Hi everyone, I am curious - if you have a slideon camper, can they be airconditioned inside the slideon without the car running. You know, just like a caravan.cheers. rocket n strop

Why not, they can be fitted with the same AC as a caravan/motor home.
The cars AC is not connected to the slideon.

A roof-top caravan aircon will do it for you. You could use a 240v wall/window type but they can be noisier than the roof-top. I've seen roof tops in my travels.

With a slide-on camper, be careful about how much weight you add to it.
Many slide-ons are already too heavy for the vehicles carrying them, and more weight on the roof adds to the instability.
Beefing up the rear suspension to carry the weight isn't the answer either.
