As mentioned in a previous thread re getting your 'spots' checked - that's sun spots - well I had mine 'done' yesterday, and thankfully none were found on my face or head (my Mum had a massive one on her scalp some years ago) but there was about 6 on the lower half of my legs, and around 12 on the lower half of EACH arm!! I look like 'Mr Lumpy' at the moment with blisters everywhere, and last night was feeling very sore and sorry for myself. So today went and bought a pair of arm thingys to pull on for bowls and will wear my long duds. Will go back in twelve months for my next check-up.

Thats a bit scary June, glad they were all found before they became nasty! A bit painful having so many treated at once... ouch!
And since your arms are now too sore to do any washing-up etc, Petes giving you a holiday! Isnt he?

I get all my 'dots' checked every year without fail at Molescan which is a free service here in Qld. Not sure if it is available nationally.

My turn next week. 2 coming off my back by scalpel, then stitches. It's so hard to know which spots are potential trouble. I've had moles and spots and freckles all my life, so I watch for new ones and changes of the old ones. None have ever been positive for any of the nasties, thank God. Hopefully those removed next week will also be negative for any nasties. Take care of those blisters, and always slip, slop, slap. Unfortunately I can't stand sunscreen on my skin, but I do slip and slap.

I'm another one who can't tolerate sunscreen - have tried heaps of different ones - all bring on exzema - cant cover up - too hot up here - so keep checking myself for changes, and get doc to check as well.

The driver has problem skin. We carry a few cut out sleeves from old shirts, in the truck, and when the sun is likely to fall on his right arm, he puts on one of these sleeves.

I am really, really pleased that my melanoma post has prompted some of the members to take action, well done those who have had skin checks.
