Hi guys, as you might remember we have now sold our van and tug. What I forgot to say was we sold it on Gum Tree. I was doing an add up to put on RV Point at a cost of $150. Before I put it on, a mate said he sold his through Gum Tree and to give it a go. I got three hits from OS before the ad went on line here. But I sold it in three days to an Adelaide couple. No hassles, for FREE, give it a try it first I recon.
Usual, no affiliations etc.
Have a safe life

DC, just because you no longer have a van and tug doesn't mean you can't still pop in here from time to time and let us know how you are getting on.
Once a friend on here always a friend.

Gumtree! as with most online sale's you must be careful, make sure you only accept CASH (folding money) and do NOT let the buyer know where you live, if you receive a reply from somebody overseas ignore it, it is a scam, they will want you to ship the item to them.

UMMMMMMM how can they check out the van without knowing where to look at it. Im about to sell mine and I dont expect people to buy it sight unseen. I know I would want to check something like a caravan out before I bought it.

I sold mine on Gumtree too. I did have enquiries which were not real but I just ignored them and a lovely lady eventually contacted me and we arranged for her to come out and view it and she towed it home. I had the odd balls email me and said they would pay 700 more if I take it off the site and their agent would pick it up and ship it???? Obviously dodgy.... I sold heaps when I Moved on Gumtree. If you use common sense then it is great. Good luck with it. Tess

My option would be to drive the van to them, if they did not want to do that then I would wait for another buyer, have done this a few time's on Gumtree, as EnR said 'use common sense'
