Sorry for stirring up the ultra sensitive here....cripes
Well ive almost been on the road 6 months and have covered a few miles, about 7,000km's I think. NO FIRES, NO FLOODS......well, err no inside the van anyway .
Thanks for your kind sentiments on the closed smoking topic HAPPYWANDERER, I am glad you are doing well.
As for my generator habits.....I bought a big red bugga, it wasnt cheap either......due to my excessive solar erray of panels I havent yet started the genny.....I keep telling myself I must do it one day sooon.
Checking the diary, Ive spent more than 130 nights off the power in the last 150 odd.....I much prefer the quite spots away from the crowds....lots of like minded individuals out there.
I never realised that the amount of tax paid in ones life entitled one to endanger or annoy others....crikey with the amounts of tax Ive paid I reakon I must be able to cruise camps deficating on peoples roof tops
I was wondering what happened to ole gubby???
Next week Im heading west to help those poor buggas clean up after the floods.........I reakon I will just park my van in someones yard and put my weiry old muscles to use on the end of a broom or shovel.
take care all
regards
jack

Last year I wanted to help but was still waiting for the van to be built, so I reakon this will be an easy task to lob up and lend a hand.

Well, with a face like that , I thought that bad luck would follow you, me the rain has followed me from NQ BowEn to the southern coast of NSW. Everywhere I go it rains. I am thinking of changing my name to Noah OR Addams. you know as you drive about the thunder cloud follows you, but all in all its been a great trip so far, and can only get better. See you on the track. Bill

Thank you Jack Biggles what a lovely thing to say. I do try to be nice to everyone, thats my nature. Don't have a mean bone in my body lol/ What a good fellow you are going over to help the flooded victims. All the best over there and give them all out best.
Bill, just as well you won't be down here till Tues/Wed. From tomorrow we are getting 3 days of rain. Right on the Southern 80 too. (Major speed boat races on the Murray)

Im QLD we have bullbars on our vehicle to protect us against offending vermin, and I usually have a big stick under the seat, just in case.Actually, I want to see Marj,s famous vehicle , and meet her , if possible. I might try to pitch in in the flood areas, on the way back, as My track goes that way.I went down to Rockhampton, in last years floods, for a fortnight.Mud and mossies are fun, NOT.Bill

Aw Bill. I'm not that special. In reality I'm shy and quiet as a mouse. Don't know about Myrtle though. Think she likes all the attention. Supposed to be thunderstorms today, rain tomorrow and clearing again Sunday so you will be ok.
