I didn't stay there, but had a day visit from Malanda. Seemed good. Rock wallabies very friendly, and an American Turkey. Awsome looking bird!

Yes, I've stayed there a few times. You can swim there also. Only down side I found was the twice daily bus load of tourist who were taken around the camp site (in the bus). I felt a bit exposed as I sat there in my lazy chair with 20 or 30 Japanese - or where whey Chinese, looking at me in amazement- not that I really minded anyway. I was there during the week and found it quiet, shady and very handy to Mareeba and other great points of interest on the tableland. Also if its raining on the tableland, which it often does, Mareeba and the camp area is in a rainshaddow, so it can be teaming down in atherton and dry the van park.
