You should be able to go to any signwriters shop and they would be able to do that for you. If it is the one I think it is I did it before I retired and sold up my stuff. It is not a hard project with modern computer software.

Thanks but at one place I asked I was told it was a protected copy right and could not be made
If you use the standard roadrunner character you'll need to find one that has been produced under copyright. If you use the roadrunner and add your own personal image by computer production you will be ok. My "Cruisin' Granny" wheel cover was my idea, designed and produced by a printer in Broome. I then purchased a suitable plain wheel cover, and the new image was inserted and stitched by a local upholsterer. If you can come up with something original you won't need to worry about copyright.
I think it was those people who said its was a copy right issue when I emailed them .But its worth an other try.As some one is running around with it on there 4wd

Hi Esther,
Thanks for your enquiry.
Unfortunately we can't print copyrighted images unless we have permission.
The cost for a custom designed cover is $175 inc GST, plus $17 delivery. We also have plain black for $69 and stock designs on our website range from $89-$125.

I've seen cars with Road Runner tyre covers too.
If I see another one, I'll flag them down and ask where they got it.

Get a cover and paint it your self or someone handy with a brush. Local artist would love to have a go.
I cant see the copyright problem with a hand painted as you can just change it a bit if you are worried. Tell them you painted a character image from a photo LOL

Doesn't "copyright" mean you have to copy it right?

If the people you contacted weren't so pedantic they can do it for you all they have to do is change it by 10 percent which is not hard as I did and it is not a problem. I am a signwriter retired and looked into this before I did it not a problem and most people can not tell the differnce
