At North Haven (near Port Macquarie) for at least another week and then a slow drive heading to Wagga by 8th April, so I am guessing about the third week in March at Wello

The "freebie" at Ponto Falls at Gurie is great if you are going that far GS.

Sorry Brian, spelling mistake. It's actually Geurie and Ponto Falls is #1040 in CAW 6.
Camp spot 19ks NW of Welliongton. Turn W off Mitchell Hwy 10ks NW of Wellington or 11ks S of Geurie.
5ks dirt road. Beside River.
We were there a couple of years ago and were the only ones there. You go over a couple of cattle grids and have to open a few gates but it's well worth the effort.
We had great fun watching the platypus playing too.
Wouldn't attempt it if it has been raining though. We don't have an off road van and we handled it well.

Wellington to Yeoval is a bit winding so take care. Go straight ahead for Yeoval after the bends - not left - as it is a better road. Take time to stop and have a look around Yeoval (there is a showground where you can camp) - it's 'The Greatest Little Town in the West' - then go on to Parkes. The road is in good condition (I think the last little bit has been tarred by now). We used to live in Yeoval. Lovely part of the world. Should look great out there now after some rain.

we have had some fairly heavy rain here Elaine would not advise going there (Ponto Falls) as we are expecting some flooding

Yes Brian just spoke to my BIL and it's the same on the south coast. 85mm in less than 36 hours. We might have a bit of trouble getting home if it doesn't stop soon.

We are going to come up the coast road Jonothan and as far as I can recollect the only spots we would really have to worry about are Bega and Moruya.
Will keep our ear to the ground. We hopefully can always come up the Hume but then if the rain keeps on who knows.
