Hi all, due to a few work related issues I have postponed my upcoming road trip to Townsville and back. My boss was good to me during Marg's health problems and now it's my turn to return the favour by making myself available for work. My trip can be done anytime. I will still go to Townsville but I will fly up and back and only be away for 4 days so I will still get to see my granddaughter and by then my new grandson.
All bookings have been cancelled etc and when I am ready to go again I will just go, no bookings.
I actually feel good that I can help out at work.
Oh, I'm still waiting on getting my tug back, will be ringing to-morrow to see how things are going and a time frame. Still not sure what the problem has been. All because a radiator hose clip was faulty.

I hope everything goes well with the tug, and your trip north. Sounds like an exciting time for you. When do you plan to retire and travel full time?

Hi Chrissy, I would love to NOW but for some reason known only to him, my bank manager said NO, NO WAY. So it's like the seven dwarfs say, hi ho, hi ho, it's off to work I go, still.
At least I can help out at work when it's mostly needed Crissy and I feel good about that. I will still take a few weeks here and there and do some smaller stints out on the road and hopefully meet a few GN along the way.
Oh, was that you in the weekly news letter Crissy?
I had better go and hide behind the rock again.

What was the tug doing to end up in the shop?

Hi JC. To keep it short. The top radiator hose blew off (faulty clamp) then 2 weeks later started blowing white smoke and gradually became worse all the in just a few days so rang the dealer i got the car from and back to them on the back of a tow truck, that was a week and and half ago now. Even though I came to a halt within seconds it looks like some damage may have been done. The dealer has been great through all this. I have done a previous post on this as well. Way back in the depths of the forum by now JC.

Just got back from the dealer. Finally found the problem, cracked head and something about a bank of cylinders, that bit actually went past the keeper. I am far from mechanically minded. I drive 'em and leave the mechanic stuff to the mechanics, I know the basics though. So while everything is apart they are going to do a few other things and when finished mid next week it will be like a bought one. This has been a long process but nearly there. The dealer has lent me a car to tied me over til next week. I'll be glad to get my tug back.
