I posted this before but something went wrong and it didn't get posted so it might pop up twice. Sorry if it does.
Finally, I got a reply from the MD&CEO (same person) from the RACV apologising for the drama a few weeks ago (previous post). He said he has spoken to the appropriate manager and the staff member that took my call. It was agreed the call centre staff didn't take my call appropriately and in turn I was caused a lot of grief. he went on to say that he has arranged for my Total Care Cover to be extended for 12 months. Yeah, 12 months free membership. Not the around the world trip someone on this forum suggested but hey, I'll take 12 months free any time, to me that's better anyway.
WELL DONE RACV
I just need to get my tug back now. This week sometime all going well.

Good one Doug. An extra years cover is great. At least they listened and took on board their inefficiencies. They will do better next time. Maybe when I need them. lol

On ya Doug! It certainly pays to speak up and even complain a little. The bonus membership could be worth more to you than the said "cruise" when it comes to break downs on the road. While we don't like them, they do happen and getting extra assistance is valuable. Good for you.

I have only used the RACV three times in my life and have had great service from them...Total care is the way to go

A free year of total care is a bonus. I have had to use RAC in Cairns, and the RAA in Adelaide - no complaints here.
