Great to hear you both enjoyed your weekend away mate.
Did you go for a fly in a glider at Beverley?
I did the last time we were up that way, and the guy let me have a go at the controls.

Had a near disaster when my knee knocked the microwave button on as I was getting out of the van, next thing saw smoke pouring out of the van, turned the mw off and found the non slip matting around the mw plate had all melted.
Allowed to cool down the scraped the gooey black stuff off the inside of the mw and the mw plate, tested mw and all worked ok so was lucky as well as no burnt out campervan.
On the plus side, managed to buy a Wombat eating Lizard while I was in York, see attached picture;

He will probably think we have gone soft in the head mate, but who cares what others think, we know the truth.

Well had a nice three days at York Caravan Park (WA) with "His 'n" Hers" campervans. Both vans went well and a good shake down trip for Carol in her new toy.
There were temporary Managers at the Park, Julie and Gary, and what fantastic people the were and what a good job they did over the long weekend. They have finished there now and are hitting the road again in their caravan along with their two dogs. Dogs allowed at York CP (called Mt Bakewell Caravan Park - just on the outskirst of town below Mt Bakewell) on a lead.
Nice campers kitchen and spotless ablution block. The only downside was daytime mozzies, little mongrels just a bit bigger than midgies, and persistent as hell, so mozzie repellant was the order of the day. Funny though these mozzies seemed to disappear at night, and was pleasant to sit outside in the dark.
We had a Sunday family picnic in the town by the river, nice ablution block etc and of course the suspension bridge for a nice round walk, coming back over the vehicle bridge. There were none of the mozzies (or flies for that matter at that location) only seemed to be at the CP which is in a bush setting. Also visited some of the York historical attractions which were very interesting. Although we didn't go into it, the vintage car museum is also in York.
We had a day visit family get together on a farm on the outskirts of the town Beverley on Saturday which we also enjoyed.

No, kept my feet on the ground, only had time for the farm social visit.
A Wombat at the controls, now that would be interesting, didn't drop any Wombat bombs on anyone I hope!!
