The following article was in the ABC online news. Reminded me of a guy who asked me at Inskip Point if it would be ok to take his children over to pat a brumby stallion.
It does go to show that they're WILD animals. To quote the article, they're not Skippy. Some of those big bucks are 2 metres or taller, and those strong back legs with the long claw can rip a pig open. I'd say the lady is lucky to get away with injuries. Cute to look at, not good to touch unless you know the animal. It will probably end up as pet food.

Scary, to have that happen in your backyard. They are quite capable of killing dogs too, so beware if your dog chases roos!

heard a women carrying on about her dog that was killed by a kangaroo (drowned by the roo after it was chased into a dam) when asked why she let the dog chase roos she said the dog was just having fun, i guess the roo didn't see the funny side of it

Sometimes I think people lose the concept of fun from an animal's perspective. What we see as funny or "cute" is not. That's how pets and people get hurt.

Same thing happened on Phillip Isle when we lived there couple with young child about 18 months old went into the paddock and had the child patting a wild Koala makes you wonder. Helena.
