Hello Sam Go to a caravan manf or dealer and pick up some brochures, they will give you plenty of ideas. It is a bit like " how long is a piece of string " Ken

Hi and welcome. All the best with your ambitious plan. I'm sure it's just a "simple" matter of getting the legal specifications, having the know-how to put it all together to build the caravan of your dreams, or nightmares, whatever the case may be. Have fun.

Put it in Google. There is bound to be something there, especially in the US.

Welcome guys and good luck. Google seems like the best start but I know of lots of people who have fitted out their own coasters etc

It costs around $30000 to build and fit out a 25 foot boat without a power plant. You can buy flat fibaglass panals with a close cell foam inner upto 32mm thick. With careful planning and some skills using mostly 12mm sheeting you could build a fantastic totally water proof seemless van. All the interior could be fibaglass also. Now I am sure the sea is rougher than almost al but extreme roads so it flex and ride nice on a 75mm chassis with a 150mm draw bar in galv, riding on a set of 15 inc rims wit a combo leaf spring and sockie set up I reckon I will build like this one day to get my dream van cheers blaze

When you think about it, all caravan makers had to build their first.
