Great new managers at Longreach Tourist Park - HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

Stayed at this park for 3 days of the past weekend. Even though we had read bad reports on other forums a lack of choice in Longreach left us no other options. Got to say it was THE best decision we've made to date. It has recently changed to a Top Tourist park and has new owners who have taken over in the last 2 months. On arrival the owners were very friendly, informative and welcomed us.
While there we had the pleasure to meet the new managers, Shane and Allie Keogh. While never having any experience this couple have enthusiasm to burn and went out of their way to make sure we had an enjoyable stay. We found the park clean, fresh and we're very impressed with their courteous nature and willingness to go the extra mile.
Powered site was $27 per night (with Top Tourist discount).
HIGHLY Recommend you try this park out.

thanks guys, thats ok .. I do realise that I will take up the same "space" as a couple .. and they're entitled to charge what they wish, but if I go on to a paid site it would need to be no more $20.00 p/n .. probably the reason I free-camp so much ..

Any change from the older owners would have to be an 100% improvement in my opinion, they were just "Bloody Rude" nice to hear that the new guys are friendly.

I've found it pays to ask as sometimes I've been offered a discount that was not advertised, not uncommonly a powered site at an unpowered rate.
As an experienced full time GN, you're probably across this Jon, but I mention it for the benefit of other solos coming to this thread.

Great to hear your experience is just as fabulous as ours was. We are heading back down from Darwin soon and hope to make another stop there on our way. It is so nice to see a couple of youngies be given the chance to show they can do such as great job. Cheers and have a good trip.
