Thought it had something to do with the lunar cycle since xmas and that is why it changes.

Everyone knows that Easter Monday falls on a different date each year but who actually knows how the date is determined?
There is a very complex method to work it out but there is a simple way.
As with most things in our Wonderful World it is decided by consulting the Sun & the Moon.
Easter Monday is the first Monday following the first Full Moon after the Autumn Equinox.
I told you it was simple...lol.
The Autumn Equinox it the moment in time that the sun is directly overhead above the equator on it's 'travel' north. This year it is the 20th March (5.14am UT actually (approx GMT))
