Sounds like you are having a great trip. Stay safe and continue to enjoy. What was Bundure like? Travel that road often but tend to stay at Jerilderie

Left Echuca yesterday morning on my trip to Biggenden, first time I've had a signal to connect to the internet.
I had a late breakfast of strawberry pancakes at Kooloomoo, The Big Strawberry, turn off at Tocumwal, heading to Finley. Yummy. About 14.00 with coffee. Didn't need anything more to eat till I stopped at free camp Bundure 39ks north of Jerilderie. Myself, Jules and Billeeee sat out under the stars way in to the evening till the mozzies got the better of us.
Had a bit of a crammed nights sleep but the wonderful Billeee took another couple of boxes for me so I did a rearranging this morning and won't have to sleep with the vacuum cleaner tonight.
Had a light breakfast and on my way after farewelling my nomad friends. Stopped at the Mirrool Hotel for lunch. Had BLT with chips and coffee for 13.00. Lovely couple, Ben and Claire and their baby boy. I met bens mum in the baby shop in Echuca where she worked couple of weeks ago and after chatting about what we were up to, she gave me their business card so was able to make myself known.
Worth stopping there for a meal, young couple, trying to get ahead. Its where the silos are and the kick the football over the silos legend.
Have arrived at my freecamp for tonight 3 ks north of Parkes, think its called Jurrawong, may have the spelling wrong. Combined truck stop, so was Bundure, the trucks never bothered me one bit. A few came in over night but weren't noisy.
Having crackers and avocado for tea. Oh, I had the same last night, but good.

We enjoyed an overnight last year at Mirool a couple of weeks after the population of the village increased from 21 to 22 with the birth of Claire's babe.
It is a good freecamp with newish bathrooms, across the road from the loely old pub.
Enjoy your journey, perhaps we'll meet (at Gympie?) somewhere along the way

Good morning everyone. Nearly ready to head off from my free camp just north of Parkes. Must say Bundure was a far better camp than this one. Back there was plenty of room with trees to get behind and didn't notice the truck coming and going. Here they park a foot away from you and then decide to try again like they didn't get it right the first time. Wouldn't recommend it for a stopover. Heading to Gilgandra so I can have a shower at the truckstop there. Only a couple of hundred ks but won't go any further than that today. May go have a look at the Dish again. Forgot to tell you find a rather large spide in back of van on a shelf when I was rerarranging yesterday morning. Looked like a huntsman about the size of a 50 cent piece. I sprayed it as it disappeared and stood there with a towel as it came back out, grabbed and threw it outside thwen trod on it. I think I would rather have mice than spiders. Doug, travelling on my own now, was with Billeeee and Jules the first night. I have to travell a bit faster than them.

Now at Tooraweenah freecamp for the night. Stopped in at Gilgandra truckstop for a burger with the lot and a nice long shower. Too early to stay there the night and couldn't find any free camps up in Coonabarabran so stopped half way. Should make the North Star just south of Goondi tomorrow night. A very uneventful day. Didn't even go to the dish. Would rather have done the zoo again but couldn't justify a full tank of petrol to get in there. Next time maybe. It is much nicer travelling in convoy with others. At least you have someone to discuss and decide what to go and look at. Don't always feel like stopping when there's no one to talk to about what you have seen. Once I get up there and moved in can get out and enjoy the sights up around that way with who ever is in the vicinity. Eumundi Market, Maleny, Montville, Bundaberg, Hervey Bay etc etc.

Afternoon everyone. Am now camped at North Star freecamp 39ks south of Goondiwindi. Did 352ks today. Had a good trip up. Did from Tooraweena to Narrabri in the morning, stopped at the famous bakery for lunch. Didn't think it was anything special. Did from Narrabri to here this afternoon. Went for a walk around Narrabri after lunch to stretch my legs, so was there an hour. Found an op shop, for 80 cent I got a stubby holder 10 cents, I paid 7.90 for one in the info centre at Coonabarabran, 2 sets of lime green salad servers20 cents, and a Thermos thingee for keeping food warm or cold. 50 cents. Not sure which but was a good American name which eludes me and I can't get up to see as lying back on the bed with laptop on my knee. There are two other cars and caravans in here keeping to themselves behind the shelter of trees. Also a Motor home with slide out walls, it's a beauty. Large and silver with a little silver hatchback car being towed behind it.

At Kumbia after a long hot day. Very tired. This time I came via Inglewood, Millmerrin, Cecil Plains and up to Dalby. I asked when filling up for fuel this morning, a truck driver said it was a better road than going through Moonie. The roads are still very bad through that way. Also was told the road to St George is closed, not sure which one as they said, Oh you are not going that way anyway. So many towns are so small, one shop and school towns, stopped for a coffee at yelarbon. Very small town, lovely people.
