We would like to go to Glenbawn Dam at the end of the month for a week to 10 days.
Can anyone tell us what to expect and what is there to do, fishing etc.
Thank you
Regards

Go and enjoy yourself. Take it as you find it, or leave if you don't like it. You can ask many people about a place and get just as many opinions. The best one is your own. Oh, have a good time. Safe and happy travels.

G'day we stayed at Glenbawn Dam in January this year for a week and the water has risen up a lot claiming back a lot of the flat camping area's near the water's edge so prime waterfrontage camping in busy times will be crowded ..The amenities have solar hot water and cleaned every day ,There are two shower and toilet blocks and a well stocked Kiosk with a very friendly owners who make fresh bread and pies on sundays and they are yummy.Pets are allowed as are open fires and plenty of wildlife .firewood is available at $12 a bag but we take our own . I think it is $18 a night and it is well worth it with beautiful sunrises and sunsets ,The fishing can be great and we can fish from the shade of the caravan awning .We didn't catch much at Christmas as the water had just started to rise and the fish hadn't moved into the shallows yet. But we were there in September 2011 for two weeks and caught lots of big bass and silver perch and yellowbelly and cat fish using worms cast from the shore .Some big fish amongst them .. Also there for a week in july 2011 and caught over 50 good fish from the shore all on worms and most released..Cheers ..BOB..

Yeah, I go for the bottom line. It's in or it's out. It's on or it's off. Like it, don't like it. Tolerable, intolerable.
Nothing hard about this nomad stuff, except the other drivers.
Safe and happy travels.

We used to go to Glenbawn Dam every school holidays with the kids. Loved it. They also did some yabbying. It was many years ago but sounds as if it is still just as good. Enjoy yourselves.
