you could always do what Doug does, wear your undpants/knickers as normal then back to front then inside out then back to front again that will get you 4 days out of one pair of underpants/knickers.
have a safe trip
I thought someone had been spying on me, it's the little black hole like thing just above the door. Now I know it's a camera linked direct to your poota wombat.
Ooops, should have gone to spelling lessons.

I am going mas trying to work out what to take with us. I have to decide what just has to go and what I can live without for approximately 4 months. Only have the 4b to pack everything into. All the camping gear can go on the roof rack. We have 2 jerry cans for water, 3 spare tyres, plus clothes etc. Think we could trade the 4b in on a b double.
Cheers Mandy &Wayne

Just get a road train Mandy, no problem then. Sounds very exiting though, have fun out there and keep safe.

You only need enough clothes for hot or cold weather for about 3 days because then you will wash. Some van regulars actually hand wash every day to keep up with it. Then there's cooking gear, somewhere to sleep, some bedding and the camera and laptop, oh, the mobile phone. The UHF CB Radio would be handy. The fridge and some dry stores. Where are you going? Across the Simpson, up the Oodnadatta and Stryzleki Track? I was just wondering why you'd need 3 spares? I carry 2 for the tug and the van, but I've never used them, thankfully. If you're taking water and going way off track you'll need extra fuel as well. Yep, the b-double will do it.

We are going up the cape (summer clothes) down through the gulf, out to far western Queensland, Birdsville out to Poeppel Corner (winter clothes). I forgot to mention room for the dog (thank God shes small). That road train sounds good. MOTH reckons we need 3 spare tyres. Who's to argue.
Cheers Mandy &Wayne

Go faster .. = more spares needed
More tread (& newer tyres) = less spares
Adjusted air pressure = less spares
Drink lots of cask wine & refill the (rinsed) bladders with water = less water drums needed. If you really work at it you might have enough by the time you get to the gulf. If not sit for a bit & practice camping till you have emptied enough.
What's this about clothes? A couple of pairs of stubbies & T shirts and a pair of thongs (for the feet) is enough. Wash out the undies as you shower every week or so. Be like all the free campers!!!! (just joking!!!)
