The company was great, weather was great, but to be honest, I don't think I'll go again next year. Tenting and all that goes with it is just not for me any more.
On a positive note, I enjoyed the time with family, and both my grandchildren together for once! My daughters son of 14, and my son's daughter of almost 3, don't really get to spend time together very often, but it was great to see them bonding. Big age gap, but Grandson was very good at playing with her etc. Now he's her new idol!
Good on you beth...I agree about the Tents Caper.... Though it has been awhile since I had a Tent

The beauty of this place was that it's free and people aren't camped on top of each other, as it mostly is at Easter.
But the track is way too rough to get my Lucy & Lulu in.

It's great to see a teenager "bothering" with the little cousin instead of playing some computer game, oblivious to the rest of the world. Memories for both of them.

Very true Chris. I must admit though, he was missing the TV, games etc, but didn't whinge after my dil told him he'd have to empty to portaloo if he said 'bored' 5 times!
He just needed a couple of days to figure out what to do without those things.

The age difference is about the same as my two grandchildren here. She is 13 next month and he is 3, brother and sister. He loves to come out in the garden and help nana with the weeding. Got them both out there this arvo dragging away branches as I cut down a tree. Just waiting for a chainsaw to get rid of the main bit. Next time Beth bring Lucy and Lulu here and park in the paddock. A nice easy drive and all flat, quiet and relaxing. No sand though.

The view and the lovely sea air were the attraction Marj, but thanks, I'll certainly pay a visit somewhere along the way.
Not fussed on the sand though...walking on sand is very hard on my crook knee.
I haven't caught up with all the threads, but I thought you'd be well and truly settled in by now Marj.
I'm now at my sisters at TCB but will be heading home on Friday for my nephews 21st on Saturday.
That is, Palm Beach, north of Woodgate, Qld.
