Today we arrived at Wallace's Landing (near Inkerman, nth Qld). A group of young kids (10-12 age group) were fishing. One caught a barramundi & to our delight gave it to us as they had caught too many over the last few days. We were very thankful. Kids were nice, polite type. Good to see. Well, fish & chips for dinner tonight!!

No such thing as too many barra, but their good luck is your good luck. Just love estuarine barra - big fat barra. The best feed I've EVER had was at the Cooktown dock cafe. I've not eaten it since because I don't want to spoil the memory. Enjoy!!!! Yum yum!

Hi, is Wallace's Landing a free camping spot. Sounds good with the crabs and barracks. I had so we stayed a Funny Dunny for a few days. Wallace,s Landing sounds a good alternative.
Cheers

Sorry Bill about the name. It's an age thing with me - can't even remember my own right name sometimes.
