I recently bought a reversing camera package advertised in a very well known magazine. (no problem with magazine).
The camera package is not what was ordered & payed for. The problem is, when i try toget in touch, they don,t want to know. It could be an honest mistake, maybe wrong product packed in box.
If i phone them, ( 5 times so far.) i,m put on hold until i get sick of waiting and hang up. I have sent 2 emails & have no replies.
Does anyone know who i can get in touch with to try & get some satisfaction, or at least a reply. The buisness is in Sydney, i am from Vic.

G'day Birdie1710
Welcome to the forum. Are you into the RV lifestyle yet? If not you are most certainly missing out. If you are then you already know how much fun it is.
Re your problem; I reckon if they do not want to talk to you then I would send them a polite email(with read receipt enabled) advising them that if they do not contact you at (number you use) within 48 hours you will be handing the problem over to fair trading and the ACCC.
I would also let the publisher of the magazine know just how much trouble you are having so they know what is going on.
let us know how you get on we love to see a happy ending.

email them again and send the email to their sales@address, these are the guys who rely on sales for their commission and explain the problem, also suggest that you are a member of forums that have rather large memberships who will be more than interested in feedback from your purchase.
Worked for me.

Welcome to the Forum Dave, if the company you are having trouble with operates from Silverwater an email is usually answered promptly so worth another try as mentioned previously to their marketing team, Good luck

The ACCC and Fair Trading will tell you to write to the company and cc the letter to the magazine, tell them how many times you have tried to contact them and give them 14 days to answer or you will be in touch with the ACCC, you will find that they will answer your letter.
In case they do not here's is the ACCC ph no 1300 302 502
Let us know how you go.

Hi there Birdy1710 and welcome
Why don't you just mention who the organisation is that you are having problems with. Some members may have already had dealings with them and could give you some more specific advice.
We are still having issues with The Solar Energy Store from Seven Hills (Sydney) and we have no problems in letting people know of their inabilities in communicating with their customers after they have sold their products.

Hi Turtle Trekers, Wasn,t sure i was allowed to name them. Seems your having trouble with the same mob.Have you had any joy yet? Bought a solar panel of them a while back & had no trouble. if mine isn,t an isolated case maybe a good shake up will do some good. they can,t keep getting away with this sort of thing.Stupid part is, a 2 minute phone call or a quick email would sort a lot of the problems out. I will keep at them in one way or another. It,s good to know their are others out there who care. Will keep you all posted. Dave

Try googling a forum for the product.
Sometimes you're not the only one with dramas and it's good to see what others are doing about it. Nothing wrong with mentioning the company, they're in the public domain anyway.
I can give the name of one mob to stay away from and that is ZTE phones. Absolutely no after sales service and the rudest most bad mannered phone staff in the country.
Aussie businesses have had it too good for too long and are going to have to step up with pricing and service. Online shopping is just as good and for us oldies a lot, more buck for the bang when we're surviving on pensions.

I forgot to say you should really register the letter, that also make them think you are serious, try to find out the name of the CEO and put his/her name on the reg letter.
another option is to put this info on facebook or twitter if you use those, there are a lot more people on there to see your problem and a lot maybe in the same position with the same company.
