You need to be in 'Advanced Editor', not just quick reply. If you start a thread you should be there automatically, if you want to reply to an existing thread then either click on the 'reply' button in any post or click on the quick reply box then 'Advanced Editor'. Once there, click on 'Attach Images', go to Browse and find the picture you want to insert, then post as usual. Note that there is a limit to the size of the image you can upload, I think it is 1 meg.

Thanks guys. I want to post an impressive picture of the lanslide on Clyde Mountain - which is now closing the main route between Canberra and the coast - the sort of thing they were going to do if the Japanese were going to try and get to Canberra that way in WWII.

Hi HW - now you can see why our trip starts in the morning via Brown Mountain. There will be a lot of traffic on it no doubt as a lot of people from the south coast see specialists in Canberra. Ah well, we'll just make our holiday start a few hours earlier - wouldn't have to go there except hubby has Dr's appointments too! (I asked for help in the General section cos I didn't think I'd get it as quick in Road Conditions.)

Help please. I want to post a picture and can't see how to do it.
The size is 9.765kb very small, it looks like this
9,999.25 ....... bytes
9.7648925781 kilobytes
0.0095360279 megabytes
0.0000093125 gigabytes
0.000000009 terabytes
so it is way under a mb, but I would try 1/2 mb and see how you go
if you need a program to resize your image try this free one
http://www.faststone.org/FSResizerDetail.htm
free for no commercial use
if you want to share alot of pics, upload them to a site like
http://www.flickr.com/
or http://photobucket.com/
then make an album for those pics
and you should be able to share the link for those pics
or when you are writing in here click on attatch images and add them one by one
hope that helps
